FARMERVILLE — The Glenbrook Lady Apaches improved to 16-6 and 8-2 in district with a 5-1 win over Union Christian Academy on Saturday.
The win kept the Lady Apaches in a first place district tie with UCA.
Lucille Dayton pitched a great game as she improved to 9-3 on the year. She struck out 12 batters in six innings.
"She pitched a heck of a game," Glenbrook coach Jonathan Hardy said. "It was a big game for us and she really came through."
Sunni Wilson led the offense with a single and a two-run double and Melody Hanson had two hits and a RBI. Megan Sims had a RBI-single and Gracyn Gorman, Leanna Cooper and Carsin Spurlock all added base hits.
