Anthony Wayne Williams

On one unusually hot day, Oct. 27, 1960, Anthony Wayne Williams was born. As a child, he liked playing cowboys and indians and drawing. He realized his dream when he grew up to become a soldier. Nicknamed "Chicken" by a childhood friend, he was affectionately called by most of his friends and family. To others, he was simply "Wayne."

After graduating from Minden High School in 1978, he quickly enlisted in the United States Army. He faithfully served for six years and was honorably discharged in March of 1985. When he served in Germany, he was nicknamed Guy-U, which is the German equivalent for Chicken.
