Traffic stop leads to arrest

SIBLEY — Webster Parish deputies pulled over a motorist for alleged expired license tags Tuesday, but that traffic stop soon became an arrest for outstanding warrants involving crimes of violence.

In addition to being charged with an expired license plate, 34-year-old Steven R. Duck of Sibley now is being held on warrants for felony domestic abuse battery, second degree battery and aggravated assault, Sheriff Gary Sexton said.
