Chamber Banquet, MLK Parade Kick off Busy Time

The first of the year brings a multitude of events to our community, and the Press-Herald will be on the scene providing all the coverage you deserve.

Just next week we have the annual Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce membership banquet. The event is slated for Tuesday night at the Minden Civic Center. The banquet serves as an opportunity to see familiar faces and honor the businessmen and businesswomen who make our community go round. The Man and Woman of the Year Awards are the two biggest civic awards given in our community. Last year's recipients, Terry Gardner and Sarah Haynes, will be on hand to share thoughts about the prestigious honor and also to pass the banner to this year's recipients.
