NATCHITOCHES — The Lakeside Warriors scored a run in the top of the first to take an early lead over St. Mary on Saturday and went on to win 12-2.
"That was our best ball game of the year," Lakeside coach Bob Gray said. "It was great to see us play that well."
Warrior starting pitcher Austin Ashley turned in an outstanding performance as he took the win for Lakeside. Ashley pitched a complete game seven inning allowing just four hits and two earned runs. He also struck out six batters.
