The Glenbrook Apaches and Lady Apaches took big non-district wins over the Louisiana School of Math & Science Monday night at the Minden Recreation Complex.
The Apaches won, 51-22, and the Lady Apaches won big as well, 42-32.
The Apaches jumped out early on LSM&S and never looked back.
Glenbrook led 21-2 at the end of the first quarter and then 32-10 at the half. The Apaches emptied their bench in the second half as they cruised to the 41-22 win.
Maurice Moore led the Apaches with 14 points and Cade Spurlock dropped in 10. Jalen Patterson scored nine points and Reagan Edwards scored seven.
The Apaches will have two very tough district games this week, beginning with tonight's game with Franklin Academy in Winnsboro. Friday, the Apaches will host Riverfield.
The Lady Apaches continued their recent hot streak, winning, 32-22.
"We played really well," Lady Apache coach Rendi Dillard said. "We were able to get the lead early in the game and this allowed us to work on perfecting our plays both offensively and defensively."
Carsin Spurlock led the Lady Apaches with 21 points and Macie Branch turned in another great game with six points. Jessica Mangrum scored three and Kennedy Ayers and Catherine Willis both added two.
