Armed men storm park

Last week's stormy weather didn't deter four local subjects from storming into a mobile home uninvited.

According to Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper, Michael Coates, 17, of the 200 block of Hillside Lane, Sheridai Shaw, 19, of Babb Circle, Jerel Webb, 29 and Curt Clark, 27 both of Hillside Lane, were arrested on various charges connected to armed home invasion.

Wayne Young and officers John Anderson and Justin Kemp were dispatched to Pine Hills Trailer Park on Homer Road during the storm because the people at the trailer indicated four subjects had come up there – two armed with guns – looking for someone inside the trailer," Cropper said. "They stormed through the house, one with a shotgun and one had a handgun."

Cropper said when the four subjects could not find the person for whom they were searching, they reportedly left but then returned about the same time police arrived.

Coates was charged with home invasion, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, conspiracy to commit home invasion and resisting an officer with force.

Shaw did not go in the house and reportedly cooperated in an effort to recover the guns. She was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion.

Webb was charged with home invasion, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, conspiracy to commit home invasion and a hold was placed on him by Probation & Parole.

Clark was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion but did not enter the house. Cropper said he was cooperative with police.

"They all ended up in jail," Cropper said. "They went there looking for someone. Apparently, there was bad blood between them and Coates. When they got there the person had been at the trailer but was either gone or hiding."
