Lewis, Joyner and Soto take titles at Lobo Relays

LONGVIEW, TEXAS — The Lakeside Warrior track teams took home six individual championships at the Longview "Lobo" Relays. The meet featured 18 teams participating in the varsity and jv girls and boys divisions.

In the boy's varsity division Maurice Moore scored the only field points with a personal best jump of 6'0" for the fifth in the high jump.

Enrique Soto lead the track efforts with victories in the 1600 at 4:31.57 and the 800 at 2:00.02. In the sprints Chris Lewis won the 100 meters at 11.15 and was second in the 200 at 22.56.

For the second straight meet Darryl Moore was runner-up in the 400 at 52.66. The Warriors scored 47 points for a seventh place finish.

Jasmine Turner won the discus for the second meet in a row with a season best toss of 101'8". Shanae Collins took second in the long jump at 16'3". Alissa Landers led the way on the track with a fourth place time of 5:55.14 in the 1600 and a second place time of 12:29.56 in the 3200. Deedee Quarles took fifth in the 100 Hurdles at 18.50. The varsity girls finished ninth with 32 points.

In the jv division Brooke Walker scored the only points for the ladies with a fourth place finish in the 3200 with a time of 14:33.38. The boys jv team finished sixth with a total of 41 points. Deangelo Joyner and Howard Roberts scored 39 of the 41 points.

Joyner took two field titles with personal best jumps of 5'8" in the high jump and 19'7" in the long jump. Joyner also took third in the 200 at 24.33. Roberts claimed a second place finish in the 200 at 24.21 and 3rd in the 100 at 12.04. Cody Robinson added two points with a personal best time of 11:17.79 for fifth in the 3200.

Next action for the teams will be on Thursday, March 14, at the Bossier Bearcat Relays which will be held at Benton High School.
