Drug dealer washed up for now

Jackyle_RogersStopping at a local car wash to spruce up his vehicle was a bad move for a Minden man wanted for dealing drugs.

Jackyle Rogers, 25, of the 800 block of Fincher Road, was arrested by Minden Police on a warrant for distribution of CDS Sch. I marijuana.

Chief Steve Cropper said Rogers was spotted Wednesday at the car wash on Broadway by Lt. Dan Weaver, who had an arrest warrant for the subject.

"The warrant stemmed from an undercover narcotics operation," Cropper said.

Narcotic officers Weaver and Capt. Marvin Garrett were assisted by Det. Chris Cheatham, Det. Keith King, Jr. and Sgt. Wayne Young.

"Officers made contact with Rogers, informed him of the arrest warrant and placed him under arrest," Cropper said. "He was brought to the Minden Police Department, booked and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center where he is being held on a $35,000 bond."
