City council approves wastewater screen purchase

An important piece of equipment at the city's wastewater treatment plant can be replaced following a vote of the Minden City Council in a special meeting Monday.

With all members present except District C councilwoman Magaline Quarles, council members voted 4-0 to pay the $120,000-$140,000 it will take to replace a stainless steel screen that filters particulates.
