Minden man arrested for selling drugs
A reception committee of Minden Police Officers was waiting for a local man when he showed up at the Probation and Parole office Thursday.
Kelly Combs, 30, of McArthur Street, was taken into custody and charged with distribution of CDS Sch. I (marijuana).
Police chief Steve Cropper said Combs' arrest stemmed from an undercover narcotics operation.
"About 7:45 Thursday morning, when Combs arrived at Probation and Parole, Lt. Danny Weaver, Capt. Marvin Garrett, Lt. Richard Cooper and OFC Ryan Barnette met him," Cropper said. "We had an outstanding warrant on him, so the four officers placed him under arrest."
Cropper said Comb's parole agent, Amy Russell, placed a probation hold on him. He was booked at Minden Police Department and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center under a $35,000 bond.
