Carlisle-Brown basketball camp set

It will be a family affair as Minden Lady Tiders head coach Jacob Brown holds his summer basketball camp at the Minden High gym.

Brown will bring in his uncle, coach Randy Carlisle to partner with him in the Carlisle-Brown Basketball Camp which will be held at Minden High on June 13-15.

Carlisle, who played at Minden High School, signed with LA Tech, later coached in Texas, then came back to Louisiana to coach at Castor and led the Tigers to the first State Tournament appearance.  Carlisle is one of the winningest High School coaches in America.

Carlisle and Brown will be joined by Carlisle’s son, Randall. Carlisle, Randall, daughter Bethany, and Coach Clyde “Buster” Carlisle have won five State Championships between them in Texas. Coach Brown, along with other high school and college coaches, say that Coach Carlisle is one of the best teachers and motivators of the game.

Brown has led the Lady Tiders the past two seasons. His first year the Lady Tiders competed in the first round of playoffs.

The second year the Lady Tiders made it to the second round before being defeated by Bastrop who was undefeated at that point.
