Catledge-Runge united in marriage

Leah Ruth Runge of Stonewall, and Nicholas James Catledge of Minden were united in marriage Saturday, May 12, 2012 at a 4 p.m. ceremony at The Healing Place Church in Shreveport.

Pastor Matt Mereno officiated the covenant ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dodie and Dan Runge of Stonewall.

She is the granddaughter of Patty and Dan Runge of Warsaw, Illinois.

The groom is the son of Nancy and Bob Ingram II of Minden and Amy and Sergeant Mark Catledge of Tampa, Florida.

He is the grandson of Susan and Arnold Baird of Minden and Charles Catledge of Florida.

The groom is great-grandson of Major Harry P. McCall and the late Gertrude McCall of Minden and the late Dreama Catledge of Florida.

The bride chose an elegant gown of candlelight satin and French netting by Symphony Bridal. The svete bodice, with sweetheart neckline and sculptured straps, of the fitted princess style gown was enhanced by an empire waist accent. Rochelle lace on netting, embellished with crystals and rocailles, was applied to venise lace over the entirety of the dress. Satin buttons cascaded down the back of the dress which flowed into a chapel length train.

A hair adornment of feathers and rhinestones served as the bridal headpiece.

Her bouquet of lavender and purple flowers was adorned with a 70 a year-old cameo of the groom's great-great grandmother Freida McLarty of Miami, Florida.

Leah's Maids of Honor were sisters Lindsay Runge and Dana van Noppen, bridesmaids were sister-in-law Ashleigh Runge, and best friends Elizabeth Smith and Haley Hodge. Lavendar Stripling served as flower girl. They were all wearing complimentary hues of purple. They carried white tulips.

Nicholas's groomsmen were childhood friend Matthew Edwards, college roommate and brother-in-law of the bride Corey van Noppen, brother of the bride, Daniel Runge, and good friends Devin Carr and Justin Hodges. Harley Ingram, brother of the groom, served as ring bearer.

The reception followed at the El Karubah Hall on Cross Lake.

The couple's first dance was to "I See the Light" sung by Sierra Ethridge and Dustin Carpenter. The bride danced with her father to "Stars Go Blue" and the groom danced with his mother to "The Way I Am" sung by Lindsay Runge.

The couple took a honeymoon cruise to Mexico and will reside in Shreveport.
