SHREVEPORT — The Lakeside Warriors dropped a non-district game to Northwood, 13-10, on Friday.
The Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, on an RBI-double by Chase Woodall, a sac fly by Thomas Lambert and a Northwood error.
The Falcons cut the lead to 3-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, but the Warriors pushed their lead to 8-2 with two runs in the third and three in the fourth.
In the third, Luke Griffith walked and Woodall followed with a two-run home run.
In the fourth, Cameron Corely tripled with one out, and then scored on a Northwood error. Austin Ashley and Coulson White would both reach base and later score.
Lakeside's lead soon evaporated as the Falcons scored five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings, and then added a single run in the sixth.
Lakeside added two runs in the top of the fifth, Thomas Lambert doubled and later scored on a wild pitch, and Josh Prince scored on a Corely RBI-single, but it wasn't enough.
Woodall led the Warriors with a double, home run and three runs batted in. Corely singled, tripled and drove in a run and Austin Ashley and Lambert both had a hit and a RBI. Prince singled twice, and White singled and Jake Gray had a RBI.
Four Lakeside pitchers were tagged with nine earned runs.
The Warriors will play at Sterlington on Tuesday.
