Funeral services for Bonnie A. Bumgardner, 75, were held at 11 a.m. today (Monday, August 1, 2011) at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold. Interment followed at Ramah Cemetery in Ashland. Officiating the services was Dr. Mike Hawkins.
Mrs. Bonnie was born August 19, 1935 in Baytown, Texas and passed away July 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Bumgardner; and sisters, Doris McBroom and Helen Hooks.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Joe Bumgardner of Ashland; two sons, Dr. Joe Bumgardner, Jr. and his wife, Pattie of Sibley and William "Gene" Bumgardner and his wif,e Lisa of Blanchard; daughter, Judy Wukasch and her husband, Chris of Crosby, Texas; brothers, Donald Brown and Leonard Brown; sisters, Melba Ambrosia, Mary Cunningham, Vera Meadows, Verna Johnson, Lois Morehead and Leona Leavins; seven grandchildren, Dr. Ben Bumgardner, Matthew Bumgardner, Amanda Bumgardner, Bonnie Bumgardner, Miranda Wukasch, Victoria Wukasch and Nicholas Wukasch; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Tommy Bumgardner, Pat Bumgardner, Dr. Ben Bumgardner, Matthew Bumgardner, Tim Bumgardner, Richy Bumgardner, Chris Wukasch and Barry Plunkett.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
