Apache netters at South A tourney

NATCHEZ, MS. —Duncan Park in Natchez, MS, served as the host facility for the MAIS South A Tennis Tournament. The two-day event, held last week, featured ten schools and ninety-eight players competing in nine divisions of play.

The Glenbrook Apaches entered seven of the divisions, and a player or players reached the semi-finals in five of the events. "I am so very pleased with the results of our play. We seemed to exhibit the skills that we have developed and the strategies to earn points. The confidence of the students grew with each round of play. Ending the season in manner bodes well for the next season. We will then be able to build from his foundation, " noted coach Wayne Orr. "Our girls' team earned three points and our boys' team earned one point. The girls carried our team in the tournament."
