Sarepta cyclist injured

A Sarepta man was critically injured Saturday evening, in a single vehicle motorcycle crash on LA 157, at  Linton Bellevue Road in Bossier Parish.

According to investigating Troop G troopers, 46-year-old Troy Livingston was driving north on La. 157 around 5:30 p.m. while operating a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle when he entered a left hand curve.

For unknown reasons, Livingston continued straight in the curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway.  The motorcycle came to rest in the tree line after colliding with several trees.

Livingston was wearing a helmet but was ejected from the motorcycle in the crash. He was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport with critical injuries.

Routine toxicology test results are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
