Cold winter, wet spring to blame for farmer's market closing

Summer usually brings a bumper crop of farmers' markets along roadsides everywhere, but a colder-than-usual winter and a wetter-than-usual spring have culled some vendors.

Recently, Cultural Crossroads' Farmer's Market closed and Tim Higgins, co-owner of D&T Produce on Sheppard Street, said he is sorry to learn about it.
