Jesus had just received word that His beloved friend Lazarus was sick. Lazarus’ sisters, Mary and Martha, were confident that Jesus would come as quickly as possible, but we find recorded in John 11:5, 6 this strange behavior.
“Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.”
Did you notice the “therefore”?
