Krewe des Ambassadeurs donates to CASA cause

Krewe des Ambassadeurs King and Queen XIII, Kary, from left, and Sharon Bryce, presented a check for $925 to Webster Parish Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) supervisor Sandra Samuel. Bryce auctioned his "Kingly" costume boots at this year's Grand Bal,' raising $500.

The Krewe also donated $425 from their March Texas Hold 'em tournament. Ambassadeurs golfer Donnie Irby, right, and Duchess Liz Morgan presented Samuel with a check pledging a portion of the proceeds from the upcoming Krewe Golf Tournament.

The eighth annual scramble event will be held Saturday, May 3 at Pine Hills Country Club. Tournament sponsors are Harper Motors and Elm Street Dental. Call 458-6732 or 453-3252 to enter a team.
