Funeral services for Ennis Specks, Sr. will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011, at noon at Kennon's Mortuary Chapel with Elder David Knowles, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Ennis Specks was born April 6, 1923 in Vivian.
PFC Ennis Specks faithfully served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He departed this earthly life on July 28.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Ennis Specks, Jr. of Oakland, California; companion, Bessie Flournoy; eight grandchildren, Donald Harris, Beatrice Brown, Leatrice Harris and Tan Harris, all of Minden, Yolanda Jackson, Yolanda Harris of Austin, Texas, Jay Cary and Shun Harris of Kileen, Texas; step-children, Jimmy Flournoy, Bobby Shyne, Artha Shyne and Pam Shyne, all of Minden and Johnny Flournoy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; eight step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 5 in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
