
A senate concurrent resolution, pending House and Governmental Affairs committee, will create a 17 person Joint Human Trafficking Study Commission to address modern-day slavery (sex trafficking).
"I have read the bill and would like to see more first line people on the committee, such as teachers and law enforcement, that come in contact with these children every day," said Lt. Scott Tucker a detective with Webster Parish Sheriff's Office and a member of Louisiana Crimes Against Children Taskforce.
