On July 11, 1906, the Lord sent an angel to Webster Parish to bless Cornelius and Angeline Walker Neal with another baby girl, Lueizer Neal. She was the fourth of six siblings.
She grew up and attended school in the St. James Community. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Zion Hill Baptist Church. She moved and later united with Carter Memorial Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, as treasurer, and was a true missionary until her health began to fail.
She was united in holy matrimony to Edward Jordan in Heflin. To this union five children were born. She was a devoted housewife and mother. Mother Jordan always shared her time with others when they were in need.
She had a beautiful smile and a gentle touch.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Angeline; her father, Cornelius; sisters, Mary Diaz, Eva Bell Primus, Eliza Ward Bailey and Willie Mae Markray Hall; two brothers, Matthew Neal and Clarence Neal; one son; Walsh Jordan; and one great-grandson, Remond Edward Elder, Jr.
On Dec. 11, 2012, Mother Jordan saw her last sunrise and sunset.
