Firefighters from districts 10, 7 and Minden Fire Department responded to a house fire Sunday around 8 a.m. at 2796 Hwy. 532 near Hwy. 80. The residence where Mary Hawk lived with her family was completely destroyed.
A friend comforts Mary Hawk as she watches firefighters work to save her home and keep flames from spreading. Hawk lives at the Hwy. 532 residence with another adult, her two daughters and four grandchildren. Hawk said she was grocery shopping, but at least two persons were home when the fire started.
