Active warrants were served on four with a fifth turning himself in at the Springhill Police Department.
According to Springhill Police Chief Will Lynd, Darrell Cude, 30, of Mattie Drive in Springhill, came to the police department intoxicated and turned himself in on four warrants for distribution of CDS Sch. I (marijuana) and one for distribution of CDS Sch. IV (Xanax).
"We went to Cude's residence and spoke with his wife," Lynd said. "He had already left for work."
Lynd said when Cude returned home from work, he came to the police station.
"I think he found out he was about to go to jail, so he got drunk first," Lynd said.
Jimmy Rae Frost, 53, of S. Arkansas Street, Springhill, was located on MLK Street and placed under arrest by Off. Taccara Ford on two active warrants for distribution of CDS Sch. II (crack cocaine).
Four active warrants were served on Demetric Kimble on Hickory Drive, Springhill.
Springhill officers Ronald Wedgeworth, Lane Knighten and Sgt. Rex Morse, along with Webster Parish Sheriff's Lt. Shawn Baker, Lynd and a U.S. Marshal arrested Kimble on three counts of distribution of CDS Sch. II (crack cocaine) and one count of distribution of CDS Sch. I (marijuana).
Jessica Lynn Fetzer, 25, and Cody Dewayne Rogers, 21, of Henry Williams Road in Shongaloo, were located in Springhill and arrested on two active warrants each for distribution of CDS. Sch. III (Lortab).
Lynd said none of the other investigations were connected.
"They were all conducted over a three or four month period," he said. "We had been sitting on them, trying to put some time between the buys and serving the warrants."
Lynd said more arrests will be coming.
"My officers do a fantastic job," he said. "We're steadily working to clean up Springhill."
