Cornelius jumps into mayoral race

The line has dwindled at the Webster Parish Courthouse, as the final day of qualifying for the November 4 primary election begins, but now Minden Mayor "Tommy" Davis finds himself with two challengers, Charles "Chad" Odom and former mayor and District A councilman Joe Cornelius.

Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper is still without an opponent. Also unopposed are "Sherb" Sentell III, who is running for Ward I City Court Judge and John Slattery who has qualified to run for the same office in Ward II (Springhill).
