LaShontay Jimese Lewis was born June 17, 1979 in Shreveport to Debra Lewis and the late Jimmy Fisher.
Jimese confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and united with St. Rest Baptist Church. In 2004, she joined King Solomon Baptist Church. She absolutely adored and loved her church family.
Jimese was a very outspoken, caring and free-spirited person who was not afraid to tell you exactly what was on her mind. She was well-known for her personality, humor, smile and spunkiness. She inspired a lot of people in her own way.
She was a dedicated employee of Homer Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Loris E. Lewis and uncles, Bruce Lewis, Joe Easley and Roosevelt Easley.
Jimese leaves to cherish the memories of her life, her loving son, Nycholas Shamar Williams; mother, Debra Lewis; sister, Eutundra Garza (Johnny, Sr.); half-brother, Jimmy Fisher, Jr.; nephews, Jarvous Lewis; Johnny Garza, Jr., and Jaeden Garza; and a host of other relatives and and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Rest Baptist Church with Minister Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Visitation is today (Friday, March 15) from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary.
