A memorial service for James F. Gaynor, Jr. will be held on August 11, 2012 at Lake Bistineau State Park #1, The Pavilion, at 6:30 p.m. Please join Jim's family and friends in celebrating his life.
Jim was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Newfoundland, Canada and passed away July 27, 2012 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing and really loved spending time with his family and friends. He served in the United States Air Force and worked in the Thomas Shows Carnival Circuit. He received a degree in Political Science and History from South Dakota State University. He spent many years in sales before becoming a teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and James Gaynor, Sr. and his brother, Joe.
Jim is survived by his wife and partner of 20 years, Jodie Gaynor; sons, James S. Gaynor and Jax K. Gaynor; his sister Vicky Pullig and husband, Raymond; brothers, John Gaynor and wife, Kim, Jerry Gaynor and wife, Lisa, Jesse Gaynor and wife, Karen and David "Gator" McDade; and brother-in-law, Darrel Criswell.
Jim was an awesome uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jim was a friend to all and his ever-present smile will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
