Funeral services for Mary Frances Mixon Polk will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronnie Whitlock. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mary Frances was born April 14, 1936 in Minden and entered into rest Dec. 12, 2011 in Minden.
Her first husband, Charles E. Mixon; second husband, Kenneth M. Polk; and son, Roland Keith Mixon preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Lynn Mixon of Minden and James E. Mixon of Minden; daughters, Charlotte M. Burgess and husband, Mike of New Orleans and Judith M. Person and husband, Randy of Doyline; grandchildren, Katie Touchberry, Craig Person, Amber J. Mixon, Elani Mixon, Whitney Mixon and James Kerry Vining; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pat Patton, Jeff Ray, Stacy Malham, Larry Phillips and Steve Toms.
