Authorities identify cyclist killed in hit and run

Authorities know the identity of a homeless man who died following an apparent hit-and-run crash Friday night in Shreveport.

Shortly after his arrival at LSUHSC, Samuel Leon Smith 71, succumbed to injuries suffered when the bicycle he was riding in the 2400 block of Southern Avenue was struck by a pickup truck which reportedly fled the scene.
