SPRINGHILL—North Webster senior quarterback J.O. Smith proved his skills as a two-way player as he scored touchdowns on both sides of the ball to lead his team to a 23-12 Homecoming victory over the Mansfield Wolverines.
"It was a great game, and J.O. played another good game," North Webster head coach John Ware said. "We had an injury in the secondary, so we had to play J.O. back there and he picked off a pass and ran it back for a touchdown. He also ran for over 100 yards and a touchdown on offense. He has some good players around him, so it's hard for teams to key on him, but it doesn't matter if they key on him or not, he just makes plays."Subscribe to Read!
