Rick Rowe, KTBS special reporter, will be the speaker at a Veterans Day Ceremony to be celebrated at Turner's Pond Friday, November 11 at 4 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by the Rev. Robert Whitaker and the National Anthem will be sung by a young ladies trio.
The American flag will be replaced by the American Legion Color Guard, and the Rev. Dr. Wayne Carter, of St. John's Episcopal Church, will lead a prayer. The program will conclude with a moment of silence and taps will be played by Charles Waters and Mike Holomon.
A KIA brick will be dedicated to the memory of Corporal Thomas Gleason, and as a special attraction, Randy Rogers will display a LED sign with patriotic pictures, including the raising of the flag at Mt. Suribachi.
The public is invited to attend and participate.
