Toby Stephens, Executive Director for the North Webster Parrish Industrial Development District in Springhill has earned the Mid-South Economic Development Professional (MSEDP) designation. He was awarded the Certificate at a Reception held on March 28 at the Jack Stephens Center on the campus of University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
The Reception was held in conjunction with the annual Mid-South Basic Economic Development Course, a course accredited by the International Economic Development Council.
The designation represents high achievement in the economic development profession, marked by experience in the field and completion of a rigorous program of professional development courses offered through UALR's Institute for Economic Advancement.
Dr. Ron Swager made the award along with Maria Haley, Executive Director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. According to Swager, "Toby has been an aggressive and inquisitive participant in our program, and he knows how to apply his training to solving the economic development challenges of his community. He is a credit to the profession and to his employer."
