A memorial graveside service for Mr. Tommy C. McGuffey, 69, will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Welcome Cemetery, Taylor, Arkansas, with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. McGuffey was born July 17, 1941 in Plain Dealing to Frank and Mildred Hodge McGuffey and passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Minden. Mr. McGuffey was a resident of Sarepta, was of the Baptist faith and a retired pipefitter of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 141.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Vaughan McGuffey of Sarepta; son, Charles McGuffey and wife, Beki of Sarepta; grandchildren, Daniel L. McGuffey, Jr, Martha Elizabeth McGuffey, Mallory McGuffey and Emily McGuffey; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Jones of Minden; and sister, Robin Leach Allen of Longview, Texas.
Mr. McGuffey was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel McGuffey; twin brother, Jerry McGuffey; and sister, Sue Huffman.
