CASA event raises $5,000

A rainy day did not dampen the spirits of Golfin' and Givin' participants last weekend at the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) fund-raiser.

"We raised more than $5,000 for the kids with this tournament," said Deanna Curtis, CASA supervisor and Golfin' and Givin' organizer. "All of the money is going to help give kids in our system a wonderful Christmas."

More than 300 children in the CASA program in Webster, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne and Bienville parishes will see the benefits of this successful fund-raiser.
