Day of Prayer may be profound

The National Day of Prayer is not a public holiday. Schools, post offices, stores and other businesses and organizations are open as usual.

Public transport services run to their usual schedules and no extra congestion on highways are to be expected. And yet, I believe the upcoming 62nd annual National Day of Prayer, May 2, 2013, will have profound significance for our country. To echo the words of Mary Washington, mother of our nation's first president, "Remember that God is our only sure trust."
