A Whole New World

Parish services for impaired kicked up a notch

"The more a child reads– sighted or blinded – research shows the better opportunities they have in life," said Annlee Ammons Yard, coordinator of services for the visually impaired and blind students of Webster Parish.

Webster Parish has always provided services to children who are visually impaired, whether legally blind or totally blind, but recently the program has been brought up a notch and services have been increased to those students who qualify.
