Leaving children unattended in cars is dangerous, illegal
Not only is it illegal to leave a child unattended in a vehicle, with temperatures reaching the upper 90's it could be deadly.
"Children should never be left unattended in a vehicle for any amount of time," Department of Child and Family Services secretary Suzy Sonnier said. "The interior temperature of a car rises at an alarming rate and can quickly reach dangerous levels that put children at risk. Heat stroke can be deadly or result in severe and permanent injuries."
