SEC has plenty of scheduling options

(AP) —So the theme emanating from the LSU campus these days is that the current SEC scheduling format, which features permanent cross-divisional rivals, needs to be scrapped. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said he hasn't seen an alternative format that doesn't have drawbacks. That may be, but nonetheless, here are some alternatives to the SEC's current 6-1-1 scheduling format (six games against your division, one permanent opponent, one rotating opponent):
