Dorothy Pearl Brown-Morris

BROWN_MORRIS061Mrs. Dorothy Pearl Brown-Morris was born to the parentage of Dayton and Cloteal Brown on Oct. 19, 1949, in Haynesville. She attended Woodson High School in Haynesville and furthered her education at Northwest Technical College obtaining a degree as a licensed CNA.

June 6, 1966, she married Charles Lonnie Morris; to this union six children were born. Later she was blessed with three more children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lonnie Morris; her mother and father, Cloteal and Dayton Brown; two daughters, Pearly Charles and Jameisha Morris; and two sons, Dayton Morris and Anthony Bailey.

Mrs. Morris leaves to cherish beautiful memories, a man from God who loved her dearly, James Bailey Sr.; eight sisters, Mrs. Chaney B. Brown, Dannie Russ, Mary Ann Porter, Clara Brown, Hattie Easter and Tressie May Brown, all of Haynesville; Mavis Brown, Nashville, Arkansas; Lorraine Dillard, Cullen; five daughters, Carol Frazier, Daphne Wilson, Nodkeisha Morris, Terri Hendon and Cherry Wills, all of Minden; four sons, Christopher Morris, Norfolk, Virginia; Jefferey Morris, Charles Morris and James Bailey Jr., all of Minden; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Dorothy Pearl Brown-Morris, age 63, will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Northwest 14th District Building, with Rev. Royal Scott Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Haynesvile under the direction of Benevolent Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Benevolent Funeral Home today (Friday, Oct. 12, 2012) from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
