Frances Lee Lane was born April 7, 1956 to the late Rev. John Claude Lee and Missionary Ethel Mae Lee in Shreveport. She was the fourth of five children born to this parentage.
Sister Lane accepted Christ at an early age and worshipped at Forest Chapel COGIC under the leadership of Elder Andrew Fizer. She served faithfully in the choir, singing praises to God.
She united in holy matrimony to Minister Oliver Sylvester Lane, Sr. on May 7, 1988. They joined the Haughton COGIC under the leadership of Superintendent Lytton Cleveland, Jr. She remained a faithful member, serving on many auxiliaries until God called her home.
Frances attended school in Webster Parish and was a graduate of the Webster High School Class of 1974 and also received her cosmetology license from Pat Goins' Beauty School. She was later employed at the Webster Parish Library.
Sister Frances was called from earthly labor to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at Minden Medical Center. A life lived as Sister Lane lived cannot die but will live on in the hearts and memories of all those who knew and loved her.
