Tommy A. Addison was born on Oct. 27, 1944 in Mansfield and died on Sept. 3, 2012 at his home in Minden after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was pre-deceased by his parents: father, Adrian Addison and mother, Imogene Addison Youngblood; stepfather, Zeke Youngblood; sister, Patsy Ruth Brewster and husband, Buster Brewster.
He is survived by his significant other, Brenda McMichael; sons, Jody Addison and wife, Michelle and Chad Addison and wife, Rhonda; his three grandsons, Austin, Aaron and Caleb Addison; Brenda's daughter, Toni Palermo and husband, Darren and their children, Katelin, Allie and Jason; and Brenda's son, Randy McMichael; siblings, Jackie Ashley, Johnny Addison and wife, Sandy, Jane Cassels and husband, Julius and Jean Allison and husband, Johnny. He is also survived by one aunt, Lena Hogue and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many, many good friends.
Tommy served in the Air Force for four years, stationed at Aviano Air Base, Italy during the 1960s. He was in the printing machine business for much of his career.
In retirement, he spent his time restoring antique tractors, participating in tractor shows and pulls with his many dear tractor friends. He was a founding member of the East Texas Antique Tractor and Engine Club.
As Tommy requested, his body was cremated. Visitation will be held at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden today (Wednesday, September 5) from 5 until 6:30 p.m. with an informal memorial service immediately following.
