Lamar Neil Lamb was born April 6, 1947 to James Lamb and Eliza Jones Lamb Hill in Ogden, Utah.
Lamar served as a corrections and parole officer for the State of Utah Department of Corrections for more than 20 years. Upon retiring from law enforcement, he moved to Heflin to enjoy life and leisure of Louisiana.
Lamar departed this earthly life on July 31 in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Keith Roland Lamb. He was a grandson of Dave "Nook" and Allie Jones.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory a daughter, Ingrid Hill Joshua of Edmond, Oklahoma; stepfather, James Hill of Ogden, Utah; four grandchildren, Kevan Norris, Keith Joshua, Aaliyah Joshua and Stephen Joshua, Jr., all of Edmond, Oklahoma; great-grandson, newborn Zane; brother, Preston Cordale Lamb (Stefane) of Layton, Utah; sister, Darla Kay Burrell (Reginald) of Layton, Utah; three nieces, Kacey Lamb, Mone't Lamb and Alicia Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, at 6 p.m. at Tillman Church of God In Christ with Rev. Norman Hurst officiating. Final disposition will be in Ogden, Utah on Tuesday, August 6. Visitation will be Saturday, August 4 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary.
