Doyline wins regoinal

The Doyline Lady Panthers recently placed first in their regional track meet.

A number of Doyline athletes qualified for the Class State Championship Track Meet next Friday in Baton Rouge.

Shelbie Waln placed first in the shot put with a toss of 38' 10."

Chantrell Johnson won the 800m with a time of 2:38 and the triple jump with a leap of 33' 10". Bessie Waller finished second in the triple jump at 33 7 1/2".

Shanelle Allen had one first and three second place finishes. She won the 300 hurdles (49.8) and placed second in the 100 hurdles, 100m and 200m.

Jasmine Waller took second place in the long jump (15'6") and the 4X100, 4X200 and 4X400 relays teams all qualified for State as well.

The boys' 4X100 and 4X400 relay teams also qualified for State, as did Payton Georner (third in the javelin), Cardell Dawson (2:12 in the 800m) and Brandon Hampton (third in the 200m).
