Webster 4-H is collecting new and good used flip- flops for campers who need an extra pair during 4-H summer camp week.
Many times during summer camp a camper will either forget to bring an extra pair of shoes for water activities, or break a flip-flop or shoe lace, have a pair of shoes that rubs blisters, or just simply need another pair of shoes.
“We can provide that extra pair in the form of simple flip-flops,” said Extension Agent Lisa Holmes. “They are inexpensive and easy to wear – and many of us have extras in our closet.”
For those looking for a place to get rid of out grown flip-flops, here’s the place to do it.
“We are asking individuals and 4-H clubs to sponsor a collection at your school, church, work or other venue. We have a collection tub at the 4-H office as well.
“We will collect until May 18. We leave for camp on May 21 and want to take them with us then,” Holmes continued.
All sizes are needed, especially youth sizes 3 up to adult sizes.
Donations may be brought to the Webster 4-H Office at 1202 Homer Rd., Minden.
