The Minden High Lady Tiders fell to Huntington, 46-31, Tuesday night.
"Huntington's size really caused some issues for us," Lady Tider head coach Jacob Brown said. "Their big girls gave us trouble, and we didn't attack the basket enough. We just sat back and took too many jump shots that didn't fall."
The Lady Tiders trailed 9-4 at the end of the first quarter and 19-10 at the half. Huntington then out-scored Minden 27-21 in the second half.
"Offensively, we didn't have much production," Brown said. "We only had two players that scored in the first half. We have to be more efficient. we had some chances, but we didn't take advantage."
Miranda Fisher led Minden with 11 points and 10 rebounds. JeCourtney Neloms added eight points and Tyia Green had five.
"We have a lot of young kids, but at this point of the year we have to play better," Brown said. "We have to keep working to get better. I really like this group, they're fun to coach and they work hard. We just have to turn this thing around."
