Funeral services celebrating the home-going of Mrs. Deanne Frye will be held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. James Crain and Bro. Don McCormick officiating. Visitation will be today (Oct. 31, 2011) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Mrs. Frye was born on Feb. 8, 1939 to Sallie Roton Reeves and John D. Reeves and departed this earthly life on Oct. 29, 2011. Preceding her in death were her beloved son, John Douglas Frye; brothers, Riley Joe Reeves and William Baker Reeves; sister, Ruth Reeves Miller; and brother-in-law, J.W. Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Alfred Frye; daughter, Whitney Frye Todd; sons, Thomas David Frye and James Patrick Strickland and wife, Kathi; sister, Peggy Reeves Harris and husband, Thomas; and sister-in-law, Nell Reeves. Also surviving their "Nana" are her grandchildren, Byron Frye, Scott Frye, Jonathan Frye, Christopher Frye and wife, Megan, Hayden Frye, Marshal Frye, John Todd, Austin Todd, Allison Strickland, Jacob Strickland and Rylan Strickland; and great-granddaughter, Addilyn Frye. Numerous other relatives survive her.

Deanne will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife to Tommy and precious Mother and Nana to her children and grandchildren. She will also be remembered as a lady with strong Christian values and beliefs that she passed on to many others. Deanne devoted her life to caring for all of her family members, church family, and friends, old and young. She was "a woman who gave everything and asked for nothing in return."

Honoring their Nana as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Bethel Sunday School Class.

Special thanks to Dr. Carl Hines, Dr. Adnan Alsaka and the third floor nursing staff of Minden Medical Center for your loving care.

Deanne loved the Twenty Third Psalm and quoted it often in the last days and weeks of her life here on earth.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1400 Homer Road, Minden, LA 71055 or to the donor's choice.
