John A. ‘Bad Boy’ Johnson

John_Johnson_obitFuneral Services for Mr. John Arthur “Bad Boy” Johnson, 73 , will be held Saturday, October 29 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Russell, officiating.  Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

John Arthur “Bad Boy” Johnson was born June 22, 1938 in Bienville Parish to Richard Johnson, Jr. and Ernie Mae Lyons Johnson.

He united in holy matrimony to Nellie Sills.  To this union, seven children were born.

John “Bad Boy” Johnson departed this earthly life on Oct. 19, 2011.  He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three brothers, Willie Johnson, Roosevelt Johnson, Sr., and Leon Johnson; and three infant children, Elizabeth, John, and Arthur Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother, Ernie Mae Johnson of Ada Taylor; one son, Dell Johnson (Tikina) of Minden; three daughters, Sandra Johnson Williams, Glenda Johnson Allums (Willie) and Pamela Johnson Thomas (Robert, Jr.), all of Minden; 10 grandchildren, Tasha Johnson Dent (James) of Tampa, Florida, Keldrick Allums, LaQuarin Johnson, Rafael Williams, Rodney Williams, DeJarius Johnson, Diamond Johnson, Kyle Allums, Javioun Johnson, and Rodney Johnson, Jr., all of Minden; four great-grandchildren, Kennedy Dent, Jayden Dent, both of Tampa, Aisha Johnson of Tokyo, Japan and Londyn Dent of Tampa; three brothers, Johnny Johnson (Gussie) of Minden. Nathaniel Johnson (Helen) of Baton Rouge and Grant Johnson (Carolyn) of Gibsland; five sisters, Betty Clark, Ruthie Moore, both of Ada Taylor, Annie Hardy of (Bobby) of Gibsland, Bertha Sneed (Lonnie) of Bossier City and Ethel Johnson of Ada Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 28 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
