Last week the North Webster Knights won the first game in their short school history, beating Northwood-Lena, 47-16.
Tonight they will face an even tougher test as they attempt to move their record to 2-2. The Knights will head to Bossier to take on the 2-1 Bossier Bearkats.
Bossier is coming off a 41-13 win over Bolton a week ago, and they sport an offense that is averaging 35 points per game over the first three weeks of the season.
North Webster head coach Joey Pesses knows his defense will have to confront the speed of the Bossier offense.
"Bossier is a very good team," he said. "And they have a lot of speed, they're very fast. I've been here 17 years and they have always been fast. We'll just have to be ready."
North Webster's Lyntravious Gipson and Matt O'Neal scored all six of the Knights touchdowns last week, with Gipson scoring four and O'Neal scoring twice.
Game time is 7 p.m. at Bossier High School.
