Funeral services for Anna Belle Pope will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church Minden West Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Leland Crawford. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Anna Belle was born Feb. 12, 1920 in Farmerville and entered into rest Sept. 10, 2011 in Bossier City.
Her parents, Charlie and Lettie Heard; husband, Jake Pope; sister, Geroline Everett; brother, Finn P. Heard; nephews, Johnny Everett, Ted Everett; and niece, Kathy Lawrence preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Lillie Heard Pitman; nieces, Peggy Canter and husband, Sam, Janice Holdiness and husband, Harvey, Carolyn Everett, Deborah Flanagan and husband, Guy and Charlotte Pitman; nephews, Jerry Everett and wife, Linda, Robert Everett and wife, Judy, Charles Heard and wife, Ginger, Eddie Pitman and wife, Iva, Gene Pitman and wife, Elaine and Larry Heard; and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Eddie Pitman, Gene Pitman, Larry Heard, Guy Flanagan, Jeremie Calhoun, Pete Everett and Robert Everett.
Honorary pallbearer will be Sam Canter.
Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home or Alzheimer’s Association.
